About
I am passionate about helping individuals, workplace teams and organizations become more effective and successful.
I do this by taking a holistic perspective of the issues and then work collaboratively with my clients to deal with them. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than knowing I have made a substantive and sustainable difference in people’s lives.
Having worked for over 25 years in public and private organizations, law firms and universities, I bring a powerful combination of analytical skills and understanding of interpersonal dynamics.
I started my career practicing law in a law firm and as in-house counsel to a large real estate developer. After scaling down my practice to take a break to raise my family, I decided that I wanted to devote the next chapter of my career to helping people achieve their full potential. So I went back to school and transitioned to my current role as Coach and Consultant more than fifteen years ago.
I held the position of Senior Advisor, Organizational Development and Talent Management at McGill University for a number of years during which time I led the Leadership Development Program for staff. I am also on faculty with the McGill Executive Institute.
- I hold a B.C.L. and LL.B. from McGill University and a Master’s in Human Systems Intervention (Organizational Development) from Concordia University.
- I am a certified Integral Associate Coach™ and am also highly experienced and
certified in a number of personality and behavioral style profiles (MBTI ® (Level II); Emotional Intelligence – EQ-i 2.0, EQ In-Action Profile; Strength Deployment Inventory® (Level II); CTT Consultant at Barrett Values.); Interpersonal Relationships (FiRO-B); Learning Style Inventory (LSI). I work with the Caliper Profile as well. - I am trained and experienced in methodologies including Co-development, Search Conference, Open Space, Use of Self as an Agent of Change and Appreciative Inquiry. I also partner with Coaching Ourselves.
I am very involved in my community. I co-lead an annual bike ride from Kingston to Montreal that raises money for cancer informatics research (over $500,000.00 raised to date and counting!), I work on a pro bono basis with youth leaders and volunteer with not-for-profits (YES, Equitas, CivitasX).
I am fluent in English, have an excellent working knowledge of French, and a good knowledge of spoken Czech.
